The rules for both writing and promoting a book have changed. While your article was great in focusing on the need to bend or break the rule-book when it comes to writing, it did not cover how to promote your book in such detail. Here, for some of the reasons you have given, most self-published authors have to break away from the traditional approach and find new ways to manage the maze that is Amazon, Amazon Unlimited, Amazon sales ranking, not to mention the others like Kobo and the rest. I’d be happy to provide ideas for such an article if you think you’d like to cover it too. After all, what is the point of writing books to new rules if you find none to read them?
